Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam is a band I like mainly for their earliest music. They definitely have a unique sound that I really like. Unfortunately for a while their music was not that great, but I think that their newest stuff is really good. They are just a band that I could listen to all the time without getting sick of it. My favorite CD by them is definitely Ten because it really just has most of their best songs on it. Overall, Pearl Jam is is just a great band.

Blink 182

Blink 182 is a band that I have liked since I was a little kid. My favorite thing about them would have to be their humor in their music. Unlike most other bands, they seem like they don't take their music so seriously which I think is pretty cool. I went to go see them in concert last summer and thought that they did a really good job. Hopefully that was not my last time seeing them perform.

Stone Temple Pilots

This is another one of my favorite bands. Like the Red Hot chili Peppers, one of my favorite things about STP is the variety in their music. They can pretty much pull off performing any type of music they try. They are also a band that I really want to see live eventually. This is mainly due to the fact that I saw Scott Weiland last year and it was one of the best performances I have ever seen, so I am assuming that the whole band has to be quite an experience. They are playing this year in the MMRbq, so hopefully I can see them then. They are also coming out with a new CD soon, so I am also looking forward to hearing that.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

This is one of my favorite bands ever. I listen to them pretty much every day because of how much I love them. My favorite thing about them would have to be the variety in their music, and how it sounds good no matter what kind of music they're doing. I'm excited that they are coming out with a new CD within the next year and hope that its just as good as all the other ones, although without their guitarist, John Frusciante, I question if it will be as good as when he was in the band. Because of my love for this band, I read Anthony Kiedis's biography, Scar Tissue, which is an excellent book that I recommend to any fans.
